We have an amazing opportunity for undergrad or postgrad students looking to use summer 2024 to make a difference to our community!

Our voluntary summer placement programme will give a boost to your CV, and help you develop impressive skills for any career including problem solving, active listening, effective communication, case recording & much more.

Your role

You would be an Adviceline Assessor (telephone), which means you assess clients’ needs and capabilities at the start of their advice journey to identify the right next steps, tailored to them. You will empower clients to help themselves by giving them the information, guidance & signposts they need. Or, you will prepare clients for further appointments with an adviser, which helps us give the right level of support for each client, and within a more reasonable timescale.

Joining our wider Chester Office Team, you will be pioneering a service in our brand new Adviceline (telephone) space, and will be making a lasting impact on our organisation and the community.

No experience is necessary as we provide full comprehensive training, however a basic understanding of using IT is essential as within your role you will be filling out online forms, completing case records and using our digital telephone system.

Your Availability

For the programme, you will be required to come into our Chester office 4 hours a day, 2-3 days a week on the days the office is open; which is Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays. The programme kicks off with a dynamic, in-person, training fortnight from June 17th – June 27th where we will require you to come in about 2-3 days each week on the days the office is open.

Please note you will get travel expenses reimbursed.
