The Opportunity

We are seeking a confident and experienced Welfare Rights Caseworker to join our established Welfare Rights Team. This is a rewarding role where you will deliver high-quality welfare benefits advice to clients across Cheshire West, managing a varied caseload.

You will play a vital role in helping people access their entitlements, resolving complex benefit issues, preparing appeal submissions with some representing clients at tribunal.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing specialist welfare benefits casework to clients in a community or home setting
  • Managing a caseload efficiently and to a high quality standard
  • Preparing written appeal submissions
  • Representing clients at tribunal when necessary
  • Working collaboratively as part of a supportive and committed team

About You

You will be an experienced welfare rights caseworker who is motivated by making a real difference to people’s lives. You will bring:

  • Recent, relevant experience of providing welfare benefits casework
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and case management abilities
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach
  • Experience of preparing appeal submissions
