Advice First Aid is a Citizens Advice training programme that helps organisations strengthen their ability to identify advice needs and signpost people to appropriate support.
We provide free training for frontline workers and volunteers in local partner organisations to become Advice First Aiders.
Advice First Aid is a free training programme designed to support organisations, charities, community groups and frontline services to better identify and respond to advice needs within their communities.
Through interactive face-to-face sessions, organisations can equip staff and volunteers with the skills to provide initial guidance, support self-help, navigate Citizens Advice resources, signpost to other organisations and relevant services and recognise when specialist referrals are needed.
The programme aims to strengthen local partnerships and improve access to advice for people who may not otherwise seek support. Following the training, organisations will continue to receive ongoing guidance and support from Citizens Advice Cheshire West, helping frontline teams build confidence to ensure people are connected to the right services as early as possible.
