The opportunity
Citizens Advice Cheshire West is partnering with Mind to deliver an innovative new project supporting people in the Winsford community. We are looking for a compassionate, motivated Adviser to be based within the Mind Hub for two sessions each week, offering social welfare legal advice on a range of topics including welfare benefits and debt.

This role is ideal for someone who understands the link between financial stress and mental wellbeing, and who wants to deliver advice in a setting that reduces stigma and barriers to support.

The ideal person
You will have proven work experience of providing advice or support to vulnerable people. You will have excellent communication skills and proven ability to work sensitively with clients experiencing mental health challenges. Own transport is essential for home visits.

We are a locally focused charity with over 100 volunteers and employees covering the whole of the Cheshire West area. We provide free, impartial advice and information on a wide range of issues to our local community and are the largest independent provider of generic advice within the district.
